The Hobbit is a role-playing game that will guide students into the English subject contents to face during the course. Immersed in the world of J.R.R. Tolkien, students will experience fantastic stories and adventures in the Middle-Earth, which will challenge their English skills and test their learning process.
Performing a hobbit character, students earn Experience Points (XP) along the game, due to their effort, their active participation and their positive attitude. XP represent their success in the game and their character's level. The more XP a player earns, the better rank the character is. Being positive and teamworking will always help this score, but on the other hand, bad behaviour or not finished tasks would low it.
During the adventures, students will get some cards as rewards that will help them to recover their lost XP, or just prevent to lose them. These cards will refer to different items proper to the world of The Middle Earth.
But missions may not only take place in the English class. Other curricular subjects such as Music, Science or Physical Education may also award characters with magical objects or other resources that will help them in adventure.
Characters
Are you ready to discover the Middle-Earth? Follow these steps:
1. Name your Character.
2. Choose an Avatar.
3. Sign your contract. By signing the Adventurer Contract, the student agrees to play the game for its full duration and respect the rules.
Levels
Students' grade will be determined by the amount of XP they achieve at the end of the term. The XP will also determine the character's power and health. The more XP they win, the better their character will be.

Battles
Throughout the adventure, characters may face in battle against different enemies. These battles will be solved by different challenges such as mathematical operations, puzzles or riddles.
The number of challenges to be solved will depend on the health of the enemy, and the power of each strike.
Some items may improve these levels of power and health.
